VillageHallsWeek
#VillageHallsWeek is a national annual campaign, shining a spotlight on the contribution England’s 10,000+ village halls make to rural communities.
The annual week-long celebration, organised since 2018 by ACRE and the ACRE Network (England’s largest network of rural community support organisations), aims to raise the profile of village and community halls across the country, and is a big collective “thank you” to all the volunteers who work tirelessly to keep them open for the benefit of local residents, groups and rural businesses.
The theme of this years Village Halls Week: 16 – 22 March 2026 was connecting communities to health and wellbeing. ACT celebrated the start of Village Halls Week with a free Community Buildings Event on Saturday 14th March at Braithwaite Institute – link to a news story????????
