Cumbrian communities – getting together to do good things.
We want you to tell us what you are doing in your community that makes life better for the people who live there. It can be a new project, or something you have been doing for some time. :contentReference[oaicite:0]
You can tell us about it using a simple form and help us celebrate the fantastic work taking place in communities across Cumbria. We want to hear about projects that fit into one of the following categories:
- Transport
- Housing
- Community Planning
- Community Buildings
- Other – anything that doesn't fit the other four categories, or covers more than one area
We want to share your successes with a wide audience: in the press, on our website, on the radio, through case studies and at our AGM in the autumn. Join the celebration and share your story. :contentReference[oaicite:1]
We are asking just six questions and would love a couple of photographs if possible. We would like you to:
- Introduce your project – what it is, where it is, who started it, why you did it and when it happened.
- Tell us what you are most proud of.
- Explain how you got people involved.
- Describe the difference the project has made.
- Tell us what you wish you had known at the start.
- Share your hopes for the future of the project.

We are not looking for an essay. A couple of lines for each question would be great.
We want to celebrate your achievements, so contributions should be positive and upbeat. At the same time, we would like them to be realistic, so others can learn from your experiences and so we can better understand the challenges communities face and how we might help address them. :contentReference[oaicite:3]
All contributions submitted by the closing date will be entered into a prize draw. Five organisations, one from each category, will receive £100. :contentReference[oaicite:4]
