PRCCG Services
Emotional support
This service is called ‘Making SENSE of Trauma’ and has been designed and developed over a number years in partnership with a trauma consultant, experienced counsellors and survivors. Our aim is to walk alongside survivors giving them tools, resources and coping mechanisms to bounce forward from their trauma. This service is also available to those who are supporting a loved one who has experienced sexual violence.
This service is ideal for
- Available to survivors aged 14 and above
- Available to supporters aged 18 and above
- Available to all genders
- Delivered via telephone, email, text and via online video calls
- Sessions delivered on a fortnightly basis over 16 weeks
Advocacy
Our advocacy service is delivered by Independent Sexual Violence Advocates. We use the terms ‘ISVA’ when supporting adults and ‘ChISVA’ when supporting children and young people. Our team of ISVAs and ChISVAs will support survivors through the criminal justice process but also offer informed choice sessions to those who are thinking of reported to the police but are unsure about where to start. The role of an ISVA is set out by the Home Office to provide emotional/practical support, be survivor led and independent from any other organisation (including the police)
This service is ideal for
- Available to all ages and all genders
- Support provided in person, via telephone, email, text and via online video calls
- Support available depending on your needs and throughout the criminal justice process
