About Peterborough Rape Crisis Care Group
Peterborough Rape Crisis Care Group is a charity dedicated to supporting all survivors of rape and any form of sexual violence, no matter when the incident happened. We also extend our support to the loved ones of survivors, as we understand that recovering from trauma cannot be done in isolation. If you are a survivor or a loved one of a survivor, please know that we are here for you; you are not alone.
Peterborough Rape Crisis Care Group (PRCCG)
Established in 1983 to provide a free, confidential, and non-judgemental support service for victims and survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. PRCCG recognise the gender context of sexual violence in that it disproportionately affects women and that the majority of sexual violence is a result of gender inequality in our society.
All of us deserve to live free from the fear and threat of sexual violence. At PRCCG we work to raise awareness of the prevalence and impact of rape, sexual assault and abuse, advocate for better health, justice and community responses, and work to make sure that no matter what happened or when, victims and survivors can access specialist support.
Our specialist support services include:
- Trauma informed emotional support
Independent advocacy through the criminal justice process
Group work
